BREATH SUPPORT

“…HE [JESUS] BREATHED ON THEM, AND SAITH UNTO THEM, RECEIVE YE THE HOLY GHOST”.  John 20:22

I love music and have sung most of my life.  My whole family sings now, and we love it when the harmony comes together.  There are a lot of techniques in singing that can help to get the fullness of tone and volume.  One of those is practice, of course, and another important element is proper breathing.  Without breath support, singing is not as strong, clear and controlled as it needs to be in order to have a pleasant sound.

We need “breath support” to make us have the melody of true Christian character, too.  Without the breath of the Holy Spirit within us, our tone is lacking, our clarity and volume are not strong and our lives don’t produce a pleasant sound.  Allow God’s Spirit to breathe in you and allow His breath to control your character.

CHALLENGE TO CHANGE:  “Am I living my life through the power of the Holy Spirit, or in my own strength?”
We can accomplish very little in our own ability, knowledge and power.  With the power of the Holy Spirit working through us, nothing is impossible.
