Heart's Cry

My feelings tell me I’m all through;

Yet in my heart there’s hope in You.

I long to know Your will for me,

But somehow, Lord, my eyes can’t see.

I’ve cried and yet can’t hear Your voice.

I fear that I will make wrong choice.

Oh, that You would speak to me

And cause my eyes to plainly see.

It’s all my heart to do Your will.

He speaks to me, “My child, be still.

For patience lets you keep your soul.

To falter now, you’ll lose control.

“To cast aside your hope in Me

Will mean your eyes will never see.

Have I not begun a work in you?

Can My love fail to see it through?

“What I begin, I’ll keep in line.

I’ll finish what I start, you’ll find.

So, learn to trust and rest in Me.

It’s then your blinded eyes will see.”
